AMMAN – Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) has been awarded an appreciation shield by HE Tarik Hammouri, Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, in recognition of its contribution to the Invention Competition recently held by the Ministry.
The shield of appreciation was presented to AGIP in a special ceremony held under the patronage of HE Mr. Tarik Hammouri, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, and HE Mr. Walid Maani, Minister of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research.
In the same context, AGIP was also honored in a ceremony held by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply marking the World Intellectual Property Day under the theme “For Gold We Seek: Intellectual property and Sport 2019”. AGIP earned recognition for its distinguished role in promoting the awareness on the significance of IPRs protection and encouraging the adoption of best IP practices in Jordan.
Mr. Charles Shaban, AGIP Executive Director, received the shield of appreciation, saying: “We consider this recognition as a testament to the success of our ongoing efforts to support invention in Jordan, especially among the young people, which can make a positive contribution to their community and the world.”
It is worth mentioning that this competition was held by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Scientific Research, to stimulate the atmosphere of creativity and competition among students in the areas of industrial property rights and spread the culture of creativity among the students.
