Sudan: Patent Office Resumes Limited Operations
25-Aug-2024 KHARTOUM – The Sudanese Patent Office announced that it resumed its operations with certain limitations, after nearly a year of closure due to civil unrest.
With the resumption of services, the Patent Office started accepting filings for new patent applications. However, it is important to note that subsequent procedures, such as the registration, examination of applications, and submission of supporting documents, will commence soon.
Additionally, and it is possible now to process annuity fee payments in order to maintain a patent after it is issued.
