AGIP Awarded Certificate of Appreciation by Abu Dhabi Customs

ABU DHABI - Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) has received a certificate of appreciation from Abu Dhabi Customs, in recognition of its essential role in promoting awareness on the significance of IPR protection, as well as in safeguarding Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs). AGIP received the certificate of appreciation during an event organized by Abu Dhabi Customs celebrating World IP Day.

On behalf of AGIP, Ms. Suzanne Shaban, Senior Legal Consultant received the certificate of appreciation, following her participation in the forum held in celebration of the World IP Day, on April 24, 2024. During the forum, Ms. Shaban provided valuable information about intellectual property and its importance, highlighting the laws and legislation regulating the protection of intellectual property, the basics of differentiating between the original and counterfeit product, the risks of counterfeit products and other axes related to intellectual property rights issues.

In this regard, the Executive Director of AGIP UAE office, Mr. Amjad El-Husseini said: “We are really honored to be part of this day which is popularly celebrated by more than 100 countries around the world to raise the awareness of IP and respect for the contribution of creative artists and innovators worldwide. We, at AGIP, are really proud to be recognized for our significant role in supporting intellectual property community in the United Arab Emirates."
