Specification of goods limits the protection to the specified goods, but the class heading could be claimed too.

Yes.

Registration for seven years ( renewable ) as from the filing date.

Yes.

If the trademark was filed incorrectly originally, what documentation would be required to amend the official register to show the correct details?

A certified declaration from the owner.

No; however, it is recommended to avoid cancellation for non-use.

Yes, since the class heading could be claimed.
