Filing Requirements
Trademark Applications

1. A copy of the trademark home or any other foreign corresponding registrationcertificate reflecting the same class of goods and services to be specified inthe Syrian application. (The Registrar could request a certified copy thereofat a later stage).

2. A Power of Attorney legalized by any Syrian Consulate.
Alternatively, it is possible to prepare a POA to our Lebanon Office -legalized by a Lebanese Embassy- authorizing them to issue a sub-POA to our Syria Office.  

The POA will be deposited at the Notary Public in Damascus so that we extract atrue copy thereof locally each time we receive instructions from your part toattend to new applications in Syria. Consequently, it will no longer benecessary to send us new Powers of Attorney for the future applications.

3. Prints of the intended trademark(s)
5. Description of the trade/service mark and its meaning.
6- Class(es) along with list of goods/services
Statementsin respect of the "Class 3 & 5 products", including list of mainingredients as per the enclosed form for the above trademark, to be legalizedup to the Syrian Consulate.

Notes:

- The issuing date of the documents should not exceed six months prior to theapplication date in Syria.

- It is possible to file the application and later complete the requirementswithin 6 months with a payment of fine per document/month.

- Trademark registration timeframe is 8-10 months.

- Search registration timeframe is 15 days.
