Requirements

Requirements for recording a trademark at the Customs Departments in the United Arab Emirates: 

1- A legalized Power of Attorney by the UAE Consulate in the name of the registrant as shown in the certificate of registration.
 
2- A certified copy of the Trademark registration certificate to be submitted with the application which can be obtained from of the Trademark Office; we require one copy for each customs department.
 
3- An electronic copy of the mark as being used on products.
 
4- For Abu Dhabi Customs only: A letter from the owner authorizing the agent to record the mark with Abu Dhabi Customs (it should be addressed to Abu Dhabi Customs)
 
Time Frame:
 
The recordation can be finalized within two weeks from the date of receiving the instructions if the required documents are in hand and ready to submit.
