Draft law of Trade Names

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Yemen approved the draft law of Trade Names presented by the Ministry of supply and trade. The said draft law was prepared in the framework of the current preparations for Yemen to join the World Trade Organization and the adaptation of its national legislation to the agreements of the Organization. The law aims at the formulation of filing, conducting and protecting of registered trade names and non repetition of registration of similar names. The law will help in defining the procedures and measures for preference and priority of the ownership of tradenames to be used, filed and registered and their related protection.

The draft law shall be referred to the House of Deputies in fulfillment of the constitutional measures.
