WIPO Conference

A common regional Conference was held by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), International Trade Center (ITC) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in co-operation with Commercial Affairs Department and the Trademark Office at the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Trade. Financial support was provided by the United Nations Development Program to the conference under the title of "Commercial and contractual aspects for acquiring and transferring intellectual property rights”.

The Conference commenced on Sunday, 19th of November and ended on Wednesday 22nd.

A number of experts and professionals in the field of Intellectual Property from most of the Arab Counties participated in the conference. Moreover, WIPO and International Trade Center (ITC) representatives delivered lectures. The conference focused on a number of issues, the most important of which is the technology, information transfer and competition period of large and small enterprises.

The Commercial Affairs Department at the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Trade invited participants in the common regional conference between WIPO, ITC, and UNDP, to discuss the commercial and contractual aspects for acquiring and transferring intellectual property rights. The conference was held under the auspices of H.E. The Minister of Finance, Economy and Trade at Sheraton El-Doha Hotel.
