The Croatian Parliament has passed a new trademark law that was published in the Official Gazette No. 78/99 on
July 23, 1999 and taking effect on July 31, 1999. The new law reflects Croatia's efforts to harmonize its trademark legislation with the latest European trends and to bring it in compliance with the General Agreement on Tariffs & Trade (GATT) standards
