Esmat Fahmi Serves on the Business Advisory Council of the University of Dubai

DUBAI - The Executive Director of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. (TAGCO) in Dubai, Esmat Fahmy, has recently been selected to the Business Advisory Council (BAC) for the College of Business Administration (CBA), University of Dubai.

As part of its mandate, the Business Advisory Council will meet twice every year to interact with students of the University of Dubai and provide them with advice on their career path.

“We hope that, through this post, to develop long-term relationships with the business community and interact with business leaders,” Fahmi said.

“The Business Advisory Council will provide advice, ideas and resources regarding a variety of issues that will help the University of Dubai offer high quality education to the students,” he added.

The constitution of the new Business Advisory Council for the College of Business Administration is as follows:

8. Saeed Mohammaed, Senior Vice President, Procurement & Logistics – Non Aircraft

9. Mohammed Buqefull, Career Development & Training Manager, Emirates General Petroleum Corporation

10. David Lankester, General Manager, Sara Trident Emirates LLC

11. Harshit H. Jain, Head of Liabilities and Transactional Banking, National Bank of Dubai

It is noteworthy that the University of Dubai and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg) signed, on June 20, 2007, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Center for Management and Professional Development (CMPD) at the University.

The two parties will be collaborating in the following areas: education (academic and professional development programs), student and faculty exchange, joint seminars and conferences, internship and placement opportunities, consultancy as well as research.
